Recycling LEGO® bricks & recycling in the warehouse

If you're wondering what to do with LEGO® bricks that you don't want to play with anymore, we recommend giving them away to someone else or to the local thrift store. We also know from experience that schools and play halls are always happy with pieces and stones.


Stones that do not meet our high quality standards after production are not simply thrown away. Sometimes we can grind them to make new bricks. We use parts that we cannot grind for reuse in casting molds as fuel for our factory. If we make too many copies of a particular brick, we'll donate the excess stock to charities around the world through our LEGO Foundation!
