My child has never built LEGO® models before. Do children need help learning to build?

Each set includes easy-to-follow building instructions with detailed, step-by-step images in bright colors. If your child is building with LEGO® for the first time, some help may be needed at first, but before you know it, your child will be playing and building completely independently!

What is a perfect first LEGO Friends set?

What is Heartlake City?

Heartlake City is the home of the LEGO Friends. Located around the heart-shaped lake, the city has everything you can find in any other city in the world, only on a mini-doll scale. In the center you will find office buildings, a hospital, shops, hotels, the park and of course the beach of the lake. Outside the city, LEGO Friends characters can ride horses, camp, sail, hike (and stay up late).

What can my child play with LEGO Friends?

What's in a LEGO Friends set?

I have lost/missing a part from the LEGO set I purchased. What should I do?

It happens to everyone sometimes: that important little stone has been sucked up by the vacuum cleaner/disappeared under the sofa cushions/accidentally left at school... How do you clean a LEGO Friends set?

If the set is already built, you can use a duster to clean it without having to take the set down. If you want to clean or disinfect loose stones or parts, you can wash them by hand at 30° Celsius with a sponge or soft brush and a mild detergent. Then rinse them, pat them dry and let them air dry. Done.

How long does it take to build a LEGO Friends set?

That mainly depends on how much time your child spends playing while building. Small sets can be built in a very short time. Larger sets come in numbered bags so your child can build the pieces separately. There is no right or wrong way to build a LEGO Friends set. Some children prefer to build everything before playing with it, while others prefer to pause the building experience occasionally when a piece is ready to play with. You never know when your child will have a fun play idea and the whole process is often just as much fun as playing with the finished set.

Can you build other things with LEGO Friends sets?

EVERYTHING your child can imagine. The building instructions in the box provide your child with all the help they need to build what is shown on the box. But if they want, your kids can turn their treehouse into a rocket, a school into a boat or whatever they want to play with.
