Let's go sailing!

Make your own sail to add to your LEGO® DUPLO® boat, but make sure it's the right size so your passengers don't fall overboard!

Steps

STEP 1

Making a sail

Place your mast on the felt and cut out a triangle of the same height

STEP 2

Rigging your mast

Fold over the corners of your sail, make two holes (as shown in the photo) and thread your mast through the holes.

STEP 3

Rigging the boat

Attach your mast to the boat and make sure your passengers are safe on board!

STEP 4

Let's recreate the ocean!

Fill your container (or bath) with water and make sure it doesn't overflow!

STEP 5

Time to go sailing!

Carefully place your boat in the water and watch the sail catch the wind as it glides across the surface!

Do you want to go one step further?

See if you can create a whole fleet of sailing ships and let them sail the seas together. Or, if you have a larger boat, see if you can make a sailing ship with TWO masts!
