But something still went wrong with the introduction of a new LEGO Star Wars set. The error is being corrected by LEGO, but some sets have been delivered with the "error".
Instead of the "Republic" logo applicable to this set, the box and instructions of this newly unveiled 75309 Republic Gunship feature the "Imperial" logo. They're quite similar logos, of course, as one government simply transitioned into another in the StarWars movie "Revenge of the Sith," but it's still an easy mistake to spot if you know your Clone Troopers from your Stormtroopers.

LEGO Group's Senior Marketing Manager Ivan Podryadchykov has now explained that the company is working on updating the set's packaging and instructions, but it won't be hitting shelves anytime soon.
“It depends on many factors, but we believe that you should see 75309 Republic Gunship in the updated packaging as early as December, or in some cases as late as February, depending on the region,” says Ivan. "It of course depends on the demand for this product, but certainly at the beginning of Q1 2022 we should see this product available with the correct logos on the packaging."

Ivan also commented on the possibility of the misprinted box increasing in value, stating that the LEGO Group was not deliberately trying to create collectible packaging, or even drive more sales early in the set's lifespan, with this error.
“We have to admit that it was a real mistake,” Ivan explains. “It has never been our goal to create additional commercial momentum by adding an Empire symbol to the packaging. We believe that the value of the model is still very high, even if there is an error on the packaging and building instructions.”
However, Ivan did acknowledge that the error could indeed encourage fans to pick up 75309 Republic Gunship earlier than they intended, and possibly even buy two copies.

“We know that some fans would appreciate having both versions of the packaging with the wrong symbol and with the right symbol, to preserve the good memories of the launch of this product,” says Ivan.
