New LEGO Ideas competition: "Back to the 80's"

LEGO® Ideas has launched an exciting new competition to find a fan-generated idea for a future set inspired by an '80s TV show or movie. There are plenty of sets already inspired by '80s classics, such as Ghostbusters and Transformers. Others are considered inappropriate, but there are many that have been previously evaluated by the LEGO Ideas team. This includes some surprises like Murder, She Wrote, Spaceballs and MASK Here's a quick summary of some 80s movies and TV shows I watched on the LEGO Ideas website. It appears that previous IPs used in LEGO Dimensions are allowed unless used by someone else, and strangely Gremlins returns no results despite being used in the game.

And there we go:

  • MASK,
  • The Goonies
  • ET The Extra-Terrestrial,
  • Spaceballs,
  • Labyrinth,
  • The Princess Bride
  • The Karate Kid
