How do you make a LEGO play table?

There are various types of LEGO play tables for sale. They are often quite pricey.

TIP: build your LEGO play table yourself with this DIY Ikea hack. Even if you have two left hands, you can make this table yourself. You can of course choose the colors of the table and the container yourself.

What do you need to make a LEGO table?

• Ikea Lack table
• Ikea Algot storage bin (medium size)
• Ikea Algot pull-out rails
• 4 X LEGO 10714 Classic Building Plates 10714
• Four building plates of 32x32 studs fit next to each other. Or use 4 X DUPLO 2304 if you want to make a DUPLO table instead of a LEGO table
• Pencil for marking
• Double-sided tape (Bisonkit, suitable for up to 120 kg)
• Screws and a screwdriver

Your LEGO table will be ready in just a few steps!

• Screw the LACK table together and place it upside down on a cloth on the floor.
• Place the Trofast container where you want it and draw 2 lines on the outside of the container.
• Cover the hanging rail for the Trofast container with double-sided tape.
• Stick the rail along the pencil line.
• Press it well.
• Do not immediately place the storage bin in the rails. The tape must first adhere well. Otherwise the container will fall off immediately!
• Turn the table over again.
• Securely connect the 4 building plates together with many LEGO bricks, preferably with LEGO plates, if the plates do not fit together, building is less fun.
• Stick the 4 building plates to the top of the LACK table with the double-sided tape
• Slide the storage bin into the rails under the table.
• .....and voila! Your own LEGO table.
